Personal Practice Philosophy
Dr. Snyder began his clinical orthodontic career in 1987 as he started his solo practice in Dakota County, while associating for 9 years with Dr. Lloyd Pearson of Edina. Dr. Pearson is retired now, but at the time he was president of the American Board of Orthodontics and considered one of the most advanced clinical orthodontists in the world.
Dr. Snyder's practice philosophy was defined then, and refined since, by his active involvement in clinical orthodontic research, teaching and the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Snyder's emphasis is to offer affordable, efficient, non-extraction orthodontic options to his patients by incorporating sound facial balance principles offering long lasting, healthy outcomes. To meet this end, he advises his referring community to see young patients before the front teeth fully erupt (age 7 and 8).
Additionally, Dr. Snyder has been actively involved in working with dentists and dental specialists to offer a team approach to his adult population of orthodontic patients. We encourage you to visit his practice website, www.snydersmiles.com, to become familiar with how his treatment philosophy is implemented in our highly technical world.
